The proposed Hydrotreatment Plant has been justified based on the following considerations.

• Savings in foreign exchange by reducing import of HSD
   

• .Reduction in production of LDO which has disposal problems.
   

• Ready availability of hydrogen.
   

• Availability of land.
   

• There is already a Captive power plant existing for supply of power and steam to various process plants and offsite facilities.
   

• The company has all the required offsite and infrastructural facilities, such as, tank farm, effluent treatment plant, water supply, product receipt/dispatch facilities, workshop, warehouse, etc.
   

• The company already has a residential township for its employees.
