About us

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an internationally acclaimed Institution that works towards strengthening wildlife conservation and management through capacity building, research, academics and advisory services. The institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity-related issues. Recruitment and Placement Cell was established in 2023 with aim to provide opportunities to researchers/ students in field of wildlife conservation, research, job etc.

Vision

The vision of Researchers Recruitment and Placement Cell is to establish a smooth, unbiased and automated processes towards recruitment of WII project personnel, as well as to provide useful career opportunity information to the larger researcher community of WII. The cell also aims to create a strong base for IT infrastructure to reduce manual processes handling researchers’ recruitments.

Objectives & Role

The cell is envisaged to achieve the following objectives:

  • Timely and smooth recruitment of researchers/ project staff for various
  • Research Projects/ Schemes.
  • Speedy processing of recruitment related Advertisements, Application sorting, Application processing, and issue of call letter through technological automation.
  • Constitution of Application Screening Committee for verification of physical documents based on already approved rules for application shortlisting.
  • Constitution of Interview Committee for smooth conduct of interview and declaring the results after obtaining Competent Authority approval.
  • Provide details of all recruited researchers to Research Coordinator’s Office for
  • maintenance of database and timely extension process.
  • Search for available job/ employment opportunities for students and inform the student community about such options in a periodical and timely manner
