I am having my master’s in economics from H.N.B. Garhwal University, Uttarakhand and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource from SCDL, Pune. Prior to joining UNESCO C2C at the Wildlife Institute of India, I worked with Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia & the Pacific (CSSTEAP), Affiliated to the United Nations, IIRS, ISRO from (2003-2016). While working with CSSTEAP, I developed expertise in conducting various long term and short term international training programmes/workshops and alumni meet, etc. for capacity building. I also got opportunity to meet people of other countries which further inspire me to know about their culture and build network with them.

I am an avid nature lover and very passionate about crafts, music, photography and painting.

 

 

POONAM SATIPoonam Sati

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Humanities from Delhi University and a Master's degree in Sociology from Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University. Since 2014, I have been associated with the Wildlife Institute of India - Category 2 Centre, initially serving as an Administrative Assistant. Currently, I work as a Senior Project Associate, where I am responsible for coordinating a range of national and international workshops, training programs, certificate courses, and other initiatives aimed at capacity building and skill development for professionals from diverse backgrounds.

During this period, I have had the privilege of participating in several distinguished programs, including Understanding Outstanding Universal Value of World Heritage Sites in India (INTACH, Delhi), the Young ESD Leaders Capacity Building Training Workshop (TERI, Delhi), and the 46th Session of the World Heritage Committee held in New Delhi, India (July 21–31, 2024).
