Based on the site visit, that had the benefits of inputs from the project proponents and representatives of Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, efforts were made to determine land use within the boundaries of the proposed project area and the surrounding landscape within the following categories:

• Land under forest
   

• Land under human settlements
   

• Land under cultivation
   

• Land under pastures (ghasnis)
