The mining lease is spread over an area of 726 ha in Sundernagar township of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh. The lease area is situated between Tarambri DPF in the north and Bandli Wild Life Sanctuary in the south and is bounded by Latitude N 30o29’52’’ to N 31o29’00’’ and Longitude 76o53’26” to 76o55’36” (Fig. 2). It comprises 284.16 ha of Demarcated Protected Forest (DPF), 183.16 ha of Government land and 258.68 ha of Private land in Keran, Bagain, Maloh villages near Sundernagar township.
