Consultation

Discussions with the Project Planners and Environmental Managers of BRPL provided the much needed technical information about the design and operation of the project that greatly helped in interpreting the project profile to determine likely sources of stress on the ecology of the area. Interactions with naturalists of various NGO groups, Officials of the State Forest Department and the scientific community in educational institutions (refer appended list of persons met) proved extremely useful in the compilation of information on ecological receptors in the study area. This greatly aided in the process of prioritization of issues and setting up of boundaries for the ecological studies planned for this assignment. The internet resources provided additional information on several projected environmental and ecological issues liked to developmental projects in the area that could be considered for validation by ground truthing. |
