Science Express is an innovative mobile science exhibition mounted on a 16-coach air conditioned train, which has been custom-built for Department of Science & Technology (DST) by the Indian Railways. This unique mobile exhibition was first launched in October 2007 by DST. It has since then made nine tours of the country, traveling about 161,000 kilometers and exhibiting at 530 locations. Science Express is the largest, the longest running and the most visited mobile science exhibition and has six entries in the Limca Book of Records. This virtual exhibition experience is an attempt to make the Science Express Exhibition even more accessible and reachable to audience who may not reach to the train.
