Two-days Online Training Workshop on ‘The future of aquatic and marine wildlife based livelihoods’ 26-27 August, 2021
On behalf of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, the Wildlife Institute of India is organizing a two-days online training workshop for Indian Forest Service Officers on “The future of aquatic and marine wildlife based livelihoods” on 26-27 August, 2021. This training workshop has been designed to achieve the objectives of promoting integrated management of aquatic biodiversity to enhance the livelihoods of stakeholders. Participants are expected to enhance their understanding towards integrated and sustainable management of our aquatic biodiversity at the end of this workshop. A total of 43 officers are participating in the workshop.

Wildlife Institute of India has made an attempt to document various aspects of elephant conservation and management through a documentary titled “Gentle Giants in the Changing Times”. The documentary discusses the pragmatic options available for managing human-elephant conflict in a common parlance to reach out to people. The film will be released to public on 12th August 2021, at 12:30 hour.
