Information on the migratory birds visiting the lake was collected from Forest Department and local bird watchers. Subsequently, the site was visited during March 1993 and the route of the proposed pipeline was examined. Potential of the lake as a waterfowl habitat and factors detrimental to it were examined and a checklist of water birds observed was prepared.
