This pipeline route initially follows the existing pipeline alignment of Bijaipur- Auraiya section for approximately 30 km (Plate 1.1 and 1.2) and then diverges northwards passing close to Shivpuri, Burda, Sabalgarh, Sone-ka-gurja, Bharatpur, Hodal and Mohana enroute to Dadri (Fig.1). The terrain is generally flat except for certain stretches near Bijaipur, between Burda and Sabalgarh and around Sone-ka-Gurja which are rocky and hilly. The latter are reserved/ protected forest areas. Major river crossings enroute are Chambal and Yamuna. The salient features of the proposed pipeline route are as follows :

iii) Forests - 52 km

iv) Marshy /flood prone area - 5 km
