Existing Pipeline Project

The Hazira-Bijaipur-Jagdishpur gas supply system, a mega project of the decade was the first task undertaken by GAIL. The existing 1850 km long HBJ gas pipeline was installed during the period 1986-89 to transport 18.2 MMSCMD dried and sweetened gas from gas processing complex at Hazira in Gujarat to Jagdishpur (Babrala) in Uttar Pradesh. The pipeline was subsequently extended to Delhi and a spurline was added from Vagodhia to IPCL Baroda. The existing HBJ gas pipeline system has design output of 18.2 MMSCMD. It is now required to upgrade this system in order to enhance its capacity to 33 MMSCMD to meet the future demand. |
