Impacts on Terrestrial Ecosystem

The terrestrial impacts along both the banks of Chambal river is deeply eroded ravines with thorn forest (Plate 4.2). The soil is loose alluvial with sparse ground cover, prone to erosion. It is largely being used by hyena, wolf, ratel, porcupine, small Indian civet, caracal, jungle cat and jackal.
