Vegetation

The lake supports marginal emergent vegetation particularly sedges (Carex spp.) and rushes (Typha spp.). The southern catchment of the lake is largely protected forest having Kher (Acacia catechu) and other associated scrub species (Prosopis spp. and Acacia spp). The other catchment areas are largely cultivated lands.
