Semi - arid climatic conditions prevail in the project area. The area falls in the rain shadow portion with scanty rainfall. Maximum temperatures recorded are 2oC (winter) and 44oC (summer). May is the hottest month and January the coldest. Monsoon brought by South-West monsoon is active from June to September. The average annual rainfall is about 410mm. The humidity varies from 00 to 25% during day except from June to September when it varies between 75 to 60%.
