The following is the scope of work under the consultancy offer to WII that has been agreed upon in consultation with Shri S.P. Singh, Officer on Special Duty, Government of Mizoram during the meeting held on 22.4.97 at WII:

• Preparation of faunal and floristic inventories of rare and endangered species in the proposed site of construction of Airport at Lengpui in Mizoram.
   

• Identification and evaluation of the impacts of proposed development on wildlife habitats.
   

• Outline legal/statutory obligations to be fulfilled by the project proponent.
   

• Suggest mitigatory and ameliorative strategies for the likely impacts that would be determined after the study.
