General surveys were conducted for recording the evidences of rare and endangered species in the project area. The sample plots described above were searched for tracks, scats, burrows and other wildlife signs to determine the status and distribution of wild animals in the project area.

An assessment of the plant species in different representative forest categories was also made to ascertain the presence of any rare and endangered plants species in the project area.
