Dr. Yogesh Dubey holds a post graduate degree in Wildlife Sciences from Aligarh Muslim University and a doctoral degree in Wildlife Management from FRI University, Dehradun. He has been a researcher at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun from 1993 to 2001. During this period, he initially worked on the Institute’s research project on assessing impacts of the iron ore mining on elephants in Singhbhum district, Jharkhand and on the project for establishing spatial database for enhancing decision making in protected areas in India. His post doctoral work has been mainly in the area of the environmental impact assessment with a special focus on biodiversity inclusive impact assessment.
Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Forest Management in Bhopal and is actively involved in teaching environmental assessment, environmental policy, law & planning and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14000 ) in courses for Management graduates and M. Phil. students. He is also actively involved in conducting training programmes on EA for various client institutions and organizations. He has also been conducting environmental assessment of developmental projects in different sectors. |
