| Ms. Neha P. Vyas holds masters degrees in Planning (with specialization in Urban Planning), Ecology, Environment and Geography and is pursuing a masters degree course in Disaster Management. She is presently working with the World Bank as an Environmental Specialist in the Delhi Office. She provides analytical and safeguard cross support for transport and urban sector projects in India. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked with the Government of Gujarat as an Environment and Social Specialist to take forward management aspects in infrastructure projects which were among the first such efforts in the country. She has promoted integration of environment management aspects into project planning and design through intensive capacity building programs and practical demonstration of good practices in several projects in India, Bhutan and Nepal. She has led preparation of environmental assessments for several infrastructures, industrial and urban sector projects and is guest faculty at institutions like Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad and National Institute for Training of Highway Engineers (NITHE). | |
