| Mr. K.P. Nyati holds a post-graduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani, India. He has over 28 years of professional experience in India as well as in Germany, Japan, UK, Canada and USA. He started his career in the National Productivity Council and was Head and Director-in-Charge of the Pollution Control Division. During this period he headed the eight-year Indo-German Project to establish industrial pollution prevention and control services at NPC and served as a resource person for workshops organized by Asian Productivity Organization (APO), Tokyo, USAID, GTS Germany, World Bank, NORAD, TERI, MoEF, IITs etc.
He joined as Head, Environmental Management Division of CII in 1992. He provides consultancy and training services to the Indian industry in the environment field. He has regular interaction with the Ministry of Environment & Forest and regulatory bodies in the country on policy matters on behalf of Indian Industry. He is also involved in facilitation of environmental technology transfer and business linkages internationally. In addition, he is a member of various expert committees of the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), Government of India, National Steering Committee on ODS phase out constituted by MoEF, Govt. of India and Research Council of National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur. |
