| After obtaining a graduate degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Calcutta, He pursued his master studies at IIT Kharagpur. He obtained his second PG qualification from Ecole des Mines, Paris, France. He carried out his doctoral research on EIA from Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad. He taught in various capacities at Regional Engineering College, Rourkela, ISM, Dhanbad and Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur. He served as Registrar, Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur from 2004 to 2006. Presently, he is a Professor at the same University. His areas of interest include environmental assessment, environmental modeling and mine reclamation. | |
