| Dr. Ashish David is presently working as a Research Associate in the Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Centre for Wildlife and Protected Areas at WII. His work at WII includes provision and management of the content on the ENVIS website, processing of the yearly bulletins and query response. He has been involved in conducting rapid assessments of Madhav NP and Manas NP and more recently, is associated with the management effectiveness evaluation of 3 World Heritage Sites in South Asia. Having an applied social sciences background, his doctoral thesis relates to human wildlife interface conflicts and protected area management. He has been involved with several socio-economic impact and assimilation studies for petro-chemical, gas pipeline and alumina projects. | |
