| Pragatheesh holds a masters degree in Animal Science from the Bharthiyar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He worked on the impacts of coastal mining on crustaceans in the Ratnagiri area for his Masters dissertation. He was later offered the internship at the Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu to conduct research in the field of herpetology. His keen interest in the field of impact assessment attracted him to join the Wildlife Institute of India where he is working as a Technical Assistant in EIA Cell. He is currently working on a project for reviewing the efficacy of the off-site mitigation measures proposed for Sardar Sarovar dam. | |
