S.O.753(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section(3) of Section1 of the Biological Diversity Act 2002 (18 of 2003), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of July, 2004, as the date on which the following Sections of the said Act shall come into force, namely:-

1. Sections 3 to 7 (both inclusive);
2. Sections 18 to 47 (both inclusive);
3. Sections 49 to 53 (both inclusive);
4. Sections 55 to 58 (both inclusive);
5. Sections 60 and 61.
