Objectives of the stakeholder training:

• To provide an overview on the main conceptual and methodological approaches of SEA, which could be applied in the Indian context,

• To increase practical knowledge on performing SEA through case work and

• To illustrate benefits of SEA through real examples

Target group for the training:

• Government representatives from different ministries and departments

• Environmental and planning experts of public administration,

• Experts from the consulting sector as EIA consultants, planners and academia

• NGO representatives/ civil society,

• Industries/ entrepreneurs, developers, who might be interested in a better implementation of their CSR policy/ strategy
