5.1.1 Landuse
The Reserved Forest Areas of NSTR (Nellikkal RF, Rajawaram RF, Advidevalpalli RF, Nellikal ext. RF, Pasuvemula RF, Kondlagunta RF, Tumarkota RF, Rayaram RF, Suriaraopet RF, Kannapur RF, Nidgul RF, Azamapuram RF), and Ethipothalla falls, the RF's that fall outside the boundary of NSTR (Ragadappa RF, Malkacharla RF) and the wetlands including Nagarjunasagar reservoir, Krishna, Chandravanka and Hallia rivers are the areas of ecological significance that fall within 25 km radial zone of the project (Fig. 3). These areas provide terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems that are a home for the wilderness species of the Nagarjunasagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve. Table 4 provides the details of the different forests and wetlands identified within the study zone along with their approximate distances from the proposed Nuclear Power Station Site.
