5.1.3 Floral and Faunal Diversity

As has been said even earlier, the topography of the area lends itself to the occurrence of varied wildlife habitats. Dry deciduous thorn scrub forest, bank vegetation and patches of mixed deciduous open vegetation form diverse wildlife habitats. There are reported occurrence of 15 species of carnivores, 9 species of herbivores (Deers and Antelopes), 3 species of primates and 8 species of rodents (Appendix - I).

The reserve supports 11 species of mammals, 2 species of birds and 3 species of reptiles which are rare and endangered (Appendix - II).
