- Improving the mechanisms for mainstreaming biodiversity in the impact assessment for sound decision making and long term gains for conservation
- Enhanced understanding of the issues and conflicts related to role of impact assessment in meeting conservation and development goals vis-à-vis ground realities
- Review options for professionalizing EIA for positive outcomes for biodiversity conservation

1. Well planned programme
2. Good and neat accommodation
3. Training programme may be conducted at least for 3 days
4. Duration can be extended from 2 to 5 days
5. Field trip can be included
6. Please devise a mechanism wherein Field Officers (DFOs) are directly involved in EIA Process
7. Guidelines/Memorandum/Circulars issued by Ministry should not create confusion on the same issue for which another guideline/memorandum/circular issued by the ministry stands contradictory
8. The application formats under different clearances (FL, EC, NBWL) needs to be more biodiversity centre than that is today
9. A session on legislation and legal aspects
10. Development of database on the ‘State of Environment’ at District level
11. A working code to develop database for the state of environment
12. Setting up of district level committees for forwarding proposals involving stakeholders
13. Thanks to one and all for making this training session very effective and informative
14. One course from law point of view should be organized
15. EIA should be dealt in detail
16. In study material, some best practices model (with all details) should be provided
17. Model EIA/Mitigation plan preparation exercise may be done
18. More examples of SEA required
