  • Improving the mechanisms for mainstreaming biodiversity in the impact assessment for sound decision making and long term gains for conservation.
     
  • Improve better appreciation of the issues and conflicts related to developments in ecologically sensitive areas.
     
  • Review options for professionalizing EIA for positive outcomes for biodiversity.

Future course can be planned on EIA, Environmental Auditing
The duration of the course was very short , leaving little time for interaction with fellow participants
The course duration should be extended up to 3-5 days
No field visit was planned– a visit to WII would have sufficed
A very well organised program
Books on environmental science should be included in the course material
More case studies including case study presentations by the participants could have been invited
The training course may be organized in the Institute
Participatory session may be included
