Training Course objectives

To improve the understanding of the mechanisms to mainstream biodiversity in the EIA framework for good reporting and sound decision making.
To empower the natural resource managers to appreciate issues and conflicts related to developments through ecologically sensitive areas.

13. Any other comments/observations/suggestions you wish to make about the sponsoring of Training course in future and the suggested topics/themes.

Include protocol for assessment of biodiversity in an area.
More case studies of mitigation measures.
There should be full day excursion of nearby biodiversities like Rajaji National Park, Corbett National Park etc.
More subject related field visits may be included.
Literature on economic education tools & biodiversity mapping should be provided.
Instead of class room session, field experience may be exposed.
Besides theory, discussion on practical should be included in the training course.
WII has excellent infrastructure for conducting training programmes. The classrooms sessions of this course must be conducted in WII campus.
The classroom sessions should be integrated with field visits.
Specific examples factoring in the experiences from the states should be solicited.
